Welcome! My name is Craig Rosenberg, and I am super passionate about helping businesses realize their visions.
After spending nearly two decades in corporate finance, I have worked for Fortune 500 companies down to a venture-backed startup, and I have learned how critical financial strategy is to the growth and success of a business. While the companies that I worked for varied greatly in what they were selling, the core principles that measured financial health were similar across all of them, and that's what I want to bring to your organization. Your team should be spending their time on building, selling, and working with clients, not analyzing budget variances or checking cash balances. My goal is to be your source of truth for data, to inform strategic decisions, and to take care of the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep the company running smoothly. In essence, let me worry about keeping score while you focus on winning.
Nice guys finish last.
Why Nice?
As far back as I can remember, I have been told that I am too nice. "You'll never make it in the business world" and "you could never be a CFO…CFOs have to be the tough guy always saying 'no'." While I have worked hard to prove these people wrong by advancing my career, I have come to realize that being nice is one of my biggest strengths. The reality is, I genuinely care about people, I feel a sense of purpose when helping others succeed, and I choose to be collaborative vs. combative every day. With that in mind, I wanted my brand to reflect this core tenet of my personality because it's who I am and it’s present in all the ways that I work.
My intention is for you to come away from every interaction with me feeling energized vs. dreading another conversation about the numbers. If you are looking for someone to play the "bad cop" role in your organization, then I am not the right fit. If you want someone who listens before offering advice, believes there are no stupid ideas, and wants to help create the best environment for your people, then I would relish the opportunity to work with you. Ultimately, I don’t care if everyone thinks that I finish last when in reality I get to be a part of teams who always finish first.
